Nathalie Destandau is Tomorrow’s lead strategist and resident sustainability buff. Her engagements run the gamut from ethnographic research to sustainable business strategy, naming, positioning, and development of communication platforms for Tomorrow’s wide range of clients.
Nathalie’s 20-year background in academia and MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio Graduate School give her a particular knack for translating complicated propositions into messages that are clear and engaging. Her deeply rooted intellectual curiosity means that she never takes a project brief at face value – she always challenges assumptions to lay the groundwork for new insights and ideas.
Nathalie applies this same fervor to engagements beyond her client work. She is the co-author of The Living Principles for Design, the first integrated sustainability framework for the creative industry, which has been adopted by professional design associations around the world.
Nathalie also serves on the board of trustees of Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, where she leads the French-American school’s diversity initiatives. The French-American connection is something close to her heart – Nathalie was born and raised in France before setting sail for the Bay Area in the mid-1980s.
