Katie Heit Gardner is a design director at Tomorrow, adding an extensive portfolio to the team that includes packaging and environmental graphics, annual reports, marketing materials, websites, books, and ad campaigns. Her talents extend to branding, photo art direction, and magazine publishing.

Katie honed her skills in Chicago’s design community for over seven years at companies like Designkitchen, VSA Partners, Inc., and the Modern Luxury Magazines before she packed her bags to explore the rich design opportunities in California. She thrived as a freelance designer in San Francisco for four years, most notably designing and illustrating 13 titles for Chronicle Books.

Eager to find a sense of camaraderie and collaborative teamwork, Katie joined Tomorrow in 2010. She draws upon her love of illustration and her childhood summers spent at art camp for inspiration in designing meaningful communications.

A native of Minneapolis, Katie earned a fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. After spending her entire life land-locked in the Midwest, she sought a change of pace and access to the ocean. Katie and her family now enjoy hiking the trails and savoring the mild weather of the Bay Area.
