Sometimes, great ideas come in small packages. This sure did—BACtrack, the brainchild of a first-time product developer, answers the need for a user-friendly alcohol tester for daily use.

We took this start-up's utilitarian device and gave it iPod-like appeal—appeal that law enforcement officers, clinic workers, drivers, sports trainers and, yes, moms, find as easy to use as it is attractive.

Good design need not break the bank. This start-up had a great idea but needed a sleek, strategic brand image.
They got it—with a budget they could afford.
Packaging is not Plain Jane: it stylishly communicates product benefits and breaks through retail clutter.
