Works of Art that Work

The Works of Art that Work campaign puts the Michael Graves Design collection on a pedestal— figuratively and literally. Our concept is a celebration of the Graves collection as art, living in an Alice-in-Wonderland world of whimsical,

oversized blooms and vivid colors. Text reads like curator notes you see next to artwork in a museum exhibition, uniting a disparate collection of objects into a unified exhibition experience.

To introduce this exciting new product line—customizable prefab pavilions—we went a step further: Target’s first pop-up ad insert, ever. Production involved 21 teams of 13 people working eight hour shifts for four weeks. That’s nearly 44,000 hours of labor. Eye-popping, no?
